LAW, DMin, LCDC, CMAT, CSAT, CIP GROUP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Dr. Jerry Law has a longstanding relationship with Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, having held key leadership roles, including Executive Director of Gentle Path, Willow House, and The Meadows Texas residential treatment programs. He also served as Director of Family Education and Leadership Training for MBH, working with family members of those in treatment. In 2021, Dr. Law was appointed Executive Director of The Meadows, our flagship program, and in 2024 he was promoted to Group Executive Director for both The Meadows and The Meadows Seasons. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, working closely with the clinical team to deliver exceptional care and ensure excellence throughout the treatment process. Read More Stuart Kaplan, MD, MBA, FAAP Medical Director, Eating Disorder Services Dr. Stuart Kaplan is an experienced physician specializing in eating disorders and patient advocacy. As Medical Director at Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, he plays a vital role in shaping and overseeing the organization’s medical services for eating disorders. Before assuming this role, Dr. Kaplan served as a Medical Consultant at The Meadows Ranch, where he focused on training medical professionals in eating disorder care and promoted a team-oriented, value-driven culture. His leadership experience includes significant roles at notable organizations such as Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders, Veritas Collaborative, and Camp Mak-A-Dream. Dr. Kaplan earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Columbia University and completed his MBA at the University of Amsterdam. Passionate about combining clinical excellence with compassionate care, he is dedicated to improving the treatment experience for individuals with eating disorders and their families. Read More Kara Fowler, MS, RD, LD, MA, LPC Executive Director, Eating Disorder Services Kara Fowler is a registered dietitian and a licensed professional counselor with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nutrition from Texas A&M University, as well as a master’s in health psychology from Texas State University. As a dietitian, she began working with individuals with eating disorders in 1995 and soon recognized the crucial role trauma treatment plays in supporting long-term recovery. With extensive experience in addressing eating disorders and trauma-related conditions across diverse environments, Kara remains deeply committed to integrating trauma recovery into her clinical practice. Driven by her passion for the field, she pursued advanced training in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and other therapy modalities to effectively support clients with both eating disorders and complex trauma. Kara has been a part of the Meadows Behavioral Healthcare team since early 2023. She began as The Executive Director at The Meadows Ranch and now oversees eating disorder treatment programming throughout MBH’s lines of care, ensuring comprehensive treatment options are accessible to all patients. Read More Cresta Conlee, BSN, RN, PMH-BC, CARN Director of Nursing Cresta Conlee serves as the Director of Nursing for The Meadows and The Meadows Seasons, where she brings an extensive background in mental health nursing and delivering direct patient care. Conlee began her career in large tertiary hospitals, first as a neuro ICU nurse and later as a labor and delivery nurse, building her specialized skills before focusing on her true passion: mental health and addiction nursing. Currently pursuing her master’s degree in nursing leadership at Grand Canyon University, Conlee is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society for nursing, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She also holds a place on the Grand Canyon University President’s List for outstanding academic achievement. Dual-certified in addiction and psychiatric and mental health nursing, Conlee is committed to the well-being of the community she serves at The Meadows. She believes that the opportunity to make a positive difference in even one patient’s life is a privilege and leading a team to multiply that impact is her calling. Outside of work, Conlee is a wife and mother of two daughters. She enjoys making things by hand, reading, and family game nights with her German Shepard, Freyja, by her side.
